What is the difference between coaching, and counselling?

One significant difference between coaching and counselling is that in coaching, we deal almost entirely with where you are now: the present and where you want to go in the future. Counselling involves discussion and exploration of past events and how they are influencing the present. Coaching is more likely to require you to complete assignments between meetings. Integral Coaching is based on the premise that building new capacity in the client is needed to sustain changes and keep getting results.

What is different about Integral Coaching, compared to other coaching schools?

There are a number of coaching schools and sources of training for coaches. Integral Coaching is a structured and very broad-based way of understanding human beings and their growth.

As a certified Integral Coach, I will approach understanding you and your topic from the inside (how you think, feel, make decisions); and the outside (what actions you take); how you relate to the people in your world and the larger systems and environment. As well our work together will be designed explicitly to develop and increase your awareness and capacity in ways that will support you to your goal.
